Thoughts about the artwork

The Triptych is a series of sculptural objects that can be described as hybrids between hand held power tools and my own body. They are made out of cast silicone, felted wool and carved alder wood, three materials that in different ways all have strong bodily connotations. 

About the artist – BIO or short version of Curriculum Vitae: 

Tobias Alm is based in Stockholm, Sweden, were he currently works as a freelance artist/craftsperson and a craft teacher at an elementary school. He has a BFA (2009) an MFA (2014) from Konstfack, Stockholm, and has been working with contemporary jewellery and sculptural art since then. Tobias has been exhibiting internationally since 2009.
